our organization is based on building
partnerships
and collaboration
between key stakeholders in the Midwest. As
such, we are continually expanding our network of
contacts and partners that are willing to work together
and build the region’s profile as a place prepared to
do business with the world. Together, we develop programs and
initiatives based on mutual benefit and common goals.

Global Midwest Alliance LLC is a
wholly owned subsidiary of the Economic Development
Council in Chicago, a non-for-profit Illinois
Corporation dedicated to providing a forum for
current economic and business development issues.
Its goals include educating EDC members and the
general public on issues, problems and programs
affecting economic and business development. The EDC
provides a network of contacts among people and
organizations working on economic and business
development.

COMMERCIALIZATION
TASK FORCE has played an
instrumental role in preparing a Roadmap for
improved commercialization of technology in our
region. Since 2005, the members of the EDC
TCTF have worked tirelessly to promote better
commercialization strategies. Together with the EDC
TCTF Steering Committee, it is our intent to
continue these efforts.
